Sierra Medical Center, part of Universal Health Services, is seeking an Occupational Therapist for a per diem role in Reno, NV. The position involves evaluating, planning, directing and administering OT modalities as prescribed by a physician to restore function and prevent disability after injury or illness.

Responsibilities include directing staff, assessing patients across age groups, and coordinating with physicians to modify treatment when needed. NICU expertise and active BLS are required.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure for Occupational Therapy.
• One year of NICU experience.
• Three or more years of previous experience in all aspects of occupational therapy preferred.
• Current BLS certification.

Responsabilités

• Directs the occupational therapy department certified staff, including assistants and students.
• Observes and evaluates treatment effectiveness and recommends changes.
• Performs assessments on patients across neonate to geriatric populations and re-assess as required.
• Assess patient pain and liaise with physicians for intervention when needed.
