Job summary

Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY seeks a NICU Registered Nurse for a 13-week contract. The Day Shift will cover 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, three 11.5-hour shifts weekly, caring for critically ill and premature neonates in a Level III/IV NICU.

Responsibilities include high-acuity care, respiratory therapy management, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to support high-risk deliveries and neonatal surgeries.

Qualifications

• 4 years NICU experience in a Level III/IV NICU.
• Experience with extremely premature infants (<28 weeks gestation).
• Proficient in advanced respiratory support including mechanical ventilation and CPAP/BiPAP.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-acuity NICU care for critically ill and premature neonates.
• Monitor patients and manage respiratory therapies and medications.
• Support high‑risk deliveries and assist in neonatal procedures.
• Manage neonatal lines and equipment such as PICC and feeding tubes.
• Administer and manage critical medications and infusions.
• Document care and communicate with interdisciplinary teams.
