Job summary

NYC Health + Hospitals/North Central Bronx seeks a Staff Nurse to deliver patient care on an assigned unit under general supervision. You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing regimens to support life and well-being, and you will guide nursing personnel in daily activities.

Required: New York State RN license and registration, current BLS certification, and at least one year of RN experience. The role emphasizes collaboration with the health team and adherence to standards of nursing

Qualifications

• Active New York State RN license and current registration to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in NYS.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
• One (1) year of experience as a registered nurse.

Responsibilities

• Develops, implements and evaluates the nursing regimen for patients/clients.
• Schedules, guides and directs nursing personnel in nursing activities.
• Maintains nursing care plans and progress notes for continuity of care.
• Interprets patient responses and communicates with the health team.
• Participates in interdisciplinary conferences and standards of nursing practice.
