Job summary

TriStar StoneCrest Medical Center in Smyrna, TN is seeking a NICU Nurse to provide and coordinate patient care, educate patients and families, and support emotional needs. The RN must use sound clinical judgment across neonatal care, including respiratory distress, prematurity, and sepsis.

The role requires graduation from an accredited nursing program, TN RN licensure, BLS, NRP within 90 days, STABLE within 6 months, and at least 1 year of RN experience; NICU experience preferred.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing, as required for RN practice.
  • Current licensure by Tennessee Board of Nursing or other acceptable Board of Nursing.
  • Current BLS certification (Other certifications as required per Provision of Care for area of employment).
  • NRP Certification within 90 days of hire.
  • STABLE certification within 6 months upon hire.
  • 1 Year of RN experience required.
  • NICU experience highly preferred.

  • Most common diagnoses include respiratory distress, prematurity, hypoglycemia, apnea, bradycardia, sepsis, temperature instability and hyperbilirubinemia.

Job Summary And Qualifications

NICU Nurse

Registered Nurses provide and coordinate patient care, educate patients and the public about various health conditions, and provide emotional support to patients and their family members. RNs must use independent and reasonable judgment in providing a wide variety of services as per the scope of nursing practice.
