Job summary

Saint Francis Hospital, part of Trinity Health Of New England, is seeking a part-time NICU RN for 12-hour night shifts in Connecticut. The role involves caring for newborns with medical needs, monitoring infant health, and educating new parents on infant care and safety.

Qualified candidates will hold RN licensure in CT, with a BSN preferred, and BLS CPR certification. ACLS is a plus, and NICU or acute care experience is expected for Per Diem positions.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current RN licensure in Connecticut.
• BLS CPR certification required; ACLS preferred.
• Minimum 2 years NICU or related acute care experience for Per Diem.

Responsibilities

• Attend births and provide care for newborns with medical complications.
• Monitor health of neonates with prematurity or congenital issues.
• Educate parents on infant care, breastfeeding, and safety.
• Contribute to quality of nursing care via improvement initiatives.
• Communicate effectively with admin, colleagues, patients, and families.
• Demonstrate teamwork, problem solving, and positive communication.
