Job summary

NYU Langone Health in New York, NY, seeks a Patient Care Technician/Senior Nursing Attendant for the KP NICU night shift (37.5 hours). You will assist the professional nurse in patient care and family support, contributing to safe, compassionate care in a high-acuity NICU setting.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma, PCT program completion or CNA with EKG & phlebotomy training and PCT certification eligibility, plus at least 6 months hospital experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• PCT program graduate with at least 6 months hospital experience, OR CNA with EKG & Phlebotomy training and PCT cert eligible with 6 months hospital experience.
• BLS or Heartsaver CPR/AED certification required; complete PCT online program within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates NYU Langone Health Core Values in duties.
• Assists nurses with patient care, safety and comfort.
• Supports unit operations, documentation, and data collection for quality improvement.
• Assists with admission, transfer, discharge procedures per unit operations.
• Maintains unit cleanliness and supplies; assists with emergencies as directed.
