The role is the Special Care Nursery at Vanderbilt, offering collaborative planning, patient-focused care, and ongoing education within a leading academic health system.

The unit emphasizes safety, quality, and compassionate family engagement.

Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Tennessee or eligible to obtain.
• Graduate of an approved nursing program.
• At least 1 year of relevant neonatal or acute care experience.
• Excellent patient and family education skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates to plan and implement patient care across the NICU continuum.
• Analyzes information to determine nursing diagnoses and care plans.
• Monitors progress and adjusts interventions to achieve outcomes.
• Promotes health, safety, and family-centered care.
• Adheres to policies and performs additional duties as needed.
