Qualifications

• ARC-PA accredited Physician Assistant program completion.
• NCCPA certification.
• Current Michigan PA license.
• Michigan Controlled Substance License required.
• Current DEA registration.
• AHA approved BLS.
• Strong communication, critical-thinking, organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to receive feedback and apply guidance into practice.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a structured NICU orientation and training program with defined learning objectives and progression.
• Develop proficiency in neonatal assessment, differential diagnosis and management of neonatal conditions.
• Gain knowledge of neonatal physiology, respiratory support, hemodynamics and neonatal pharmacology.
• Participate in daily multidisciplinary rounds and family communication.
• Demonstrate competency in neonatal procedures appropriate to training and credentialing.
• Progress toward increasing autonomy with supervision and institutional policy adherence.
• Collaborate with neonatologists, NNPs, PAs, nurses and allied staff.
