Qualifications

Current NNP license in Michigan
NNP certification from NCC
Bachelor's degree in Nursing or higher from an accredited program
Previous experience in neonatal care
BLS certification
ACLS certification (can be obtained after hire)
DEA registration for prescribing privileges

Responsibilities

Deliver expert neonatal care to critically ill and premature newborns in the NICU
Collaborate with neonatologists and NNPs to develop individualized treatment plans
Lead comprehensive patient evaluations and clinical decisions
Manage high-acuity neonatal cases requiring advanced interventions
Prescribe and optimize medications within your scope
Communicate with families, providing education and compassionate support
Champion quality and safety, contributing to continuous improvement
Mentor and support a collaborative, high-performing team
Document thoroughly and maintain compliant records
