Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Milk Preparation Technician for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit to ensure accurate preparation of breast milk, donor milk, and infant formulas under the supervision of the NICU Dietitian. You will coordinate daily milk room activities, calculate feeding orders, label bottles, and deliver prepared feeds within the unit.

• High School diploma, GED, and/or GED equivalent programs.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of computers.
• Good mathematical skills.

Responsibilities

• Accurately calculates, prepares, and dispenses calculated volume of human milk, formula and additives as ordered.
• Uses correct techniques to measure liquids and solids.
• Uses established procedures and recipes for calculating human milk and formula.
• Appropriately labels prepared human milk and formula bottles.
• Receives breast milk and keeps appropriate documentation of receipt and storage.
