Job summary

FlexStaff is seeking a registered nurse to perform age-specific care using the nursing process across assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. You will collaborate with physicians and the health team to coordinate procedures and treatments and provide leadership in directing patient care activities.

The role involves comprehensive nursing assessments, care planning, and discharge coordination within a New York healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Associate’s Degree in Nursing is required; Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in New York State; BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Assess the patient’s physiologic health status and document findings.
• Assess patient’s psychosocial health status and support needs.
• Develop and update patient outcome statements and care plans.
• Implement the plan of care and coordinate with physicians and care team.
• Monitor patient safety, administer treatments, and document responses.
• Collaborate with care team and coordinate discharge planning and referrals.
• Provide patient and family education and support plan for post-discharge care.
• Perform related duties as required.
