Job summary

EMI Services is seeking a NICET II Fire Sprinkler Technician for the Naval Air Station Patuxent River team. You will install, repair, and replace fire sprinkler devices and perform pump testing, with on-site duties across Southern Maryland.

The ideal candidate has NICET II certification and experience in both residential and industrial facilities, plus a valid driver’s license and ability to pass drug/background checks. EMI offers competitive wages and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• NICET II Certification.
• 3+ years of experience in industrial or commercial facilities.
• Knowledge of NFPA 70 and 72.
• Valid REAL ID driver’s license or ability to obtain one.
• Willingness to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check.
• Must be a US citizen.

Responsibilities

• Cut, thread, assemble and bond pipes to pass fire inspections.
• Perform inspections to ensure sprinkler systems are code compliant.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs, develop maintenance programs per NFPA.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports and document issues.
• Provide preliminary cost estimates for materials and services.
• Maintain reporting per program leadership and be available for emergencies.
• Maintain required licenses and identification for government access.
• Respond to emergency service calls.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
