Job summary

ABcom seeks an experienced NICET Fire Alarm Technician to install, program, test, and service commercial fire alarm systems. You will read plans, perform inspections with AHJs, and coordinate with project teams while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualified candidates have at least 4 years of hands-on fire alarm experience, NICET Level II, and strong knowledge of NFPA 72 and codes. Travel locally and some overnight stays may be required.

Qualifications

• NICET Fire Alarm Systems Level II certification required; Level III preferred.
• At least 4 years of recent commercial fire alarm installation, service, programming, testing, and troubleshooting experience.
• Strong knowledge of NFPA 72, electrical and building codes, and life-safety installations.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, test, inspect, service, and troubleshoot commercial fire alarm and life-safety systems.
• Read and interpret plans, riser diagrams, and shop drawings with accuracy.
• Coordinate with project teams and customers; maintain documentation and daily logs.
• Adhere to safety policies and maintain necessary certifications.
