Space Telescope Science Institute (STScI) invites applications for NHFP postdoctoral fellowships beginning in fall 2027. Fellows conduct independent research in astronomy, physics or related disciplines and may be named Einstein, Hubble or Sagan fellows based on their research area. The NHFP can support up to 24 fellowships; open to applicants of any nationality.

Fellowships are tenable at a U.S. host institution with a maximum of two new fellows per host per year.

Qualifications

• Requires doctoral degree in astronomy, physics or related disciplines completed on or after January 1, 2023.

Responsibilities

• Conduct independent research that contributes to NASA Astrophysics and advance the NHFP program.
• Fellows may be designated Einstein, Hubble or Sagan depending on research area.
