Job summary

Cypress HCM is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Scientist in California to perform and analyze high-complexity molecular assays, including NGS testing. The position requires a bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of laboratory experience.

Responsibilities include operating instruments, contributing to QC, assay validation, documentation, and collaborating with leadership within a growing laboratory environment in Tustin, CA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Laboratory Science, Biological Science, or related field
• 2+ years of clinical laboratory experience
• NGS experience strongly preferred
• Knowledge of CLIA and CAP requirements
• Experience with QC, proficiency testing, assay validation/verification, and troubleshooting

Responsibilities

• Perform and analyze high-complexity molecular assays, including NGS testing
• Operate and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation
• Support assay validation and verification studies
• Maintain documentation and ensure specimen/test accuracy
• Participate in QC, proficiency testing, and corrective actions
• Support evaluation of new technologies and laboratory workflows
• Collaborate with laboratory leadership and scientific teams
