Job summary

Targa Resources is seeking a Scheduler- Liquids to join our team in a fast-paced midstream environment. The role provides increased autonomy and technical depth, managing complex assets, agreements, and trading positions while partnering with Marketing, Trading, and Operations to ensure reliable liquids movements.

You'll independently nominate movements across pipelines, monitor activity, balance transportation and intra-company contracts, and provide timely reporting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience in energy logistics.
  • Strong Excel skills and scheduling software experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with stakeholders.
  • High accuracy in data management and scheduling.
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Regular and reliable attendance.

Responsibilities

  • Nominate and manage liquids movements across pipelines, storage facilities, and delivery points.
  • Monitor pipeline activity and be primary contact with pipeline representatives.
  • Balance transportation, storage, and commercial agreements; communicate variances and risks.
  • Balance trader positions across hubs and provide timely reporting.
  • Maintain knowledge of gas plant operations, flow paths, storage wells, and connections.
  • Apply knowledge of storage, fractionation, tariffs and related agreements.
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of trading systems and settlement data.
  • Strengthen relationships through regular communication and site/counterpart visits.
  • Participate in after-hours support and on-call rotations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job description

The Scheduler- Liquids is an intermediate role with increased autonomy and technical depth. This position independently manages more complex assets, agreements, and trading positions while serving as a key operational partner to Marketing, Trading, and Operations.

JOB FUNCTIONS AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Independently nominate and manageliquidsmovements across assigned pipelines, storage facilities, and delivery points
  • Activelymonitorpipeline activity and serve as the primary point of contact with pipeline representatives
  • Manage and balance transportation, storage, and related commercial agreements; proactively communicate variances and risks
  • Independently balance trader positions across hubs and provideaccurate,timelyreporting
  • Maintain detailed knowledge of gas plant operations, liquid flow paths, storage wells, andwell connections
  • Apply detailed knowledge of storage, fractionation, buy/sell agreements, G&P agreements, TSAs, and tariff/SOC terms
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of trading systems and settlement data
  • Strengthening internal and external relationships through regular communication and at least two quarterly site/counterpart visits
  • Participate in after‑hours operational support and on‑call rotations, asrequired.

MINIMUM ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, energy management, or equivalent industry experience (field, control room, accounting, product movement)
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with scheduling software
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for coordinating with internal and external stakeholders
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in managing data and high-volume scheduling
  • Excellent time management with ability to adhere to strict pipeline and contract deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Analytical Thinking: Capacity to analyze pipeline capacity and operating conditions
  • Comfortable working in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Regular and reliable attendance
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 3 – 5+ years ofliquidsscheduling, logistics or related midstream operations
  • 3-7 years of understanding of NGL products, pipeline systems, transportation logistics, and related industry terminology
  • RightAngle, EStream, etc. (scheduling software)
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
