Web Architect – Middleware Integration – Nginx CDN Platform

The Web Architect will focus on architecture, design, middleware integration, and delivery of a highly scalable Content Distribution Platform using Nginx / Nginx+ caching, Nginx cache manager, reverse proxy, web functions in conjunction with Adobe AEM dispatches and publishers (Apache, WebSphere, App Servers/gateways, F5, WAFs).

1. Architect and deliver a highly scalable secure Digital Content Delivery Caching framework using Nginx / Nginx cache manager, dynamic load balancing, autoscaling, low latency delivery of Adobe Experience Manager Digital content and assets (contextual content fragments, targeted video, audio, high-resolution pictures, text).
2. Middleware Integration of Application gateway, load balancing, certificates, firewalls, using Nginx, Nginx+, Apache, WebSphere App Server, F5, Firewalls / WAF, and SSL Certificates.
3. Optimizing Nginx caching for dynamic load balancing, high performance tuning, traffic optimization.
4. Develop Application architecture, multi-cloud integration using Python, Groovy, Ansible, scripting.
5. Deliver platform security with SSL certificates, firewalls, WAF, and proxies.
6. Nginx caching architecture optimized for content delivery using hierarchical tiered caching, cache integration, intelligent caching and routing, atomic self-leveling, self-monitoring, with efficient dynamic load balancing.
7. Deliver caching platform bringing the right content to the right place: edge, nodes, and/or cloud content servers.
8. Architect Lead role – Design, develop, test, and deliver resilient, secure, multi-channel, high-volume, high-performance, multi-cloud-based solutions. Document platform architecture.
9. Leads, mentors, and trains other technical resources to develop software applications on the platform.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree – Computer Science, CIS, or related field.
• 8+ years in Software Development, cloud platform, Middleware integration, Performance, or DevOps.
• 2+ years in a technical leadership role – Architect, Principal, Lead – with or without direct reports.
• Extensive Middleware architecture and integration – Nginx, Nginx+, Caching, Apache, WebSphere, F5, WAFs.
• Extensive Nginx solution implementations – Nginx, Nginx+, Nginx Cache manager, etc.
• Experience with building production-ready Nginx and Nginx+ deployments.
• Experience with using Nginx cache manager, caching architecture – Core to platform design.
• Optimizing Nginx and fine-tuning for high performance supporting traffic and dynamic load environments.
• Experience with load balancing and Nginx, F5.
• Building highly scalable frameworks with Nginx and cloud platforms like Azure.
• Leverage Nginx, Nginx+, Azure Autoscaling, WebSphere, Apache, IIS, F5, Firewalls, WAF, Application gateways.
• Prior Content Distribution Platform Architecture experience – Caching, load balancing, performance tuning – a major plus.
• Experience with Adobe AEM – dispatchers, publishers, etc. – a plus.
• Experience with Kubernetes or AKS in Azure, if applicable.
• Experience with auto-scaling in Azure and CI/CD pipeline automation – a plus.
• Python and Ansible experience – a plus.

Work remote full-time nationwide. 2+ year contract with possible extensions to 4 years. Conversion to full-time may be possible for eligible candidates living in CA, CO, WA, OR, GA, VA, MD, DC, HI. Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder. Must have COVID-19 vaccination and booster. Must pass a 12-panel drug screen and 10-year background check.
