Job summary

The University of Texas at Tyler is seeking a Nurse-Family Partnership Nursing Supervisor to provide supervision and professional development for nurse home visitors, ensuring fidelity to the NFP model within UT Tyler Health Science Center.

Responsibilities include staff recruitment, budgeting, caseload management, and ongoing quality improvement to support vulnerable families in the community.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• BSN degree required.
• Three (3) years of recent maternal/child health or home visiting experience.

Responsibilities

• Recruit and hire nurse home visitors and admin staff.
• Ensure staff attend NFP education sessions.
• Assess and address knowledge gaps among staff.
• Provide orientation and professional development.
• Assign caseloads and monitor nurse home visitors' capacity.
• Provide developmental feedback and plan improvements.
• Supervise and evaluate nurse home visitors.
• Manage a caseload of 2-4 clients.
• Prepare and monitor the NFP budget for fidelity and compliance.
• Participate in community coalition/advisory board meetings.
• Develop and maintain referral sources for the NFP program.
