Hereford Insurance Company in New York seeks a Claims Support Specialist to file, sort, and process legal documents and mail for No Fault claims.

You will set up new claims, handle W9s, prepare denials and pay requests, and maintain logs and production reports, working under regulatory guidelines. Attention to detail and timely communication with claimants and providers are essential.

Formación

• Knowledge of No Fault claims regulations.
• Experience with mail handling and filing in a legal/claims environment.
• Ability to prepare forms and maintain logs accurately.

• File documents and mail in legal files, opening, dating, and sorting mail.
• Send initial and follow-up forms in compliance with regulations.
• Timely set-up of new claims and maintain mailing logs.
• Index and route mail, including doc typing and setting task descriptions.
• Obtain additional information required to perform job responsibilities.
• Maintain logs and assist in production reporting.

Salary Range: $33,000.00 To $38,000.00 Annually

File documents/ mail in the legal files. Open, date, and sort the legal mail.

• Send appropriate initial and follow up forms in compliance with applicable regulations.
• Timely set-up new claims.
• Index and route mail including doc typing and setting task descriptions.
• Make appropriate inquiry to obtain additional information required to effectuate job responsibilities.
• Timely complete and maintain mailing logs.
• Support the timely delivery of mail and files to the claims professionals.
• Obtain and follow up for W9’s; keep, preserve and organize returned W9’s.
• Copy files.
• Fee Schedule NF billing including generation of EOB’s.
• Maintain records and provide information to generate production reports.
• Assist in check request and preparation process.
• Assist in preparation of denials and delays.

• Assist in preparing a file for IME or Peer Review for the vendor.
• Assist in identified initiatives or projects.
• Assist in effectuating the dosing of files.
• Telephone contacts with claimants and providers.
• Facilitate the generation of pay requests.
• Facilitate the referral for TOA investigations.
