Job summary

Hereford Insurance Company is seeking a detail-oriented professional to support claims operations in New York. You will handle initial and follow-up forms, set up new claims, and route mail and documents to claims professionals while maintaining logs and timely processing.

The role involves communicating with claimants and providers, handling W9s, and assisting with payments, denials, and denials preparation, with opportunities to assist in IME/Peer Review and initiatives.

Qualifications

• Basic but evolving knowledge of the applicable No Fault claims and applicable regulations and litigation.

Responsibilities

• Send appropriate initial and follow up forms in compliance with applicable regulations.
• Timely set-up new claims.
• Index and route mail including doc typing and setting task descriptions.
• Make appropriate inquiry to obtain additional information required to effectuate job responsibilities.
• Timely complete and maintain mailing logs.
• Support the timely delivery of mail and files to the claims professionals.
• Obtain and follow up for W9's; keep, preserve and organize returned W9's.
• Copy files.
• Fee Schedule NF billing including generation of EOB's.
• Maintain records and provide information to generate production reports.
• Assist in check request and preparation process.
• Assist in preparation of denials and delays.
• Assist in preparing a file for IME or Peer Review for the vendor.
• Assist in identified initiatives or projects.
• Assist in effectuating the dosing of files.
• Telephone contacts with claimants and providers.
• Facilitate the generation of pay requests.
• Facilitate the referral for TOA investigations.
