NextGen Applications Analyst

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: Initial 3 month contract with opportunity to extend or convert to permanent employee

Travel: 100% remote

Daily Working Hours: Full time, EST

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Application Analyst with strong expertise in NextGen EHR to join our team on a contract basis. This role requires a well-rounded individual who can provide technical and functional support for the NextGen application, review and maintain existing custom code, and write queries against backend databases.

The ideal candidate is someone with prior experience supporting NextGen, who is also comfortable working with code and troubleshooting or enhancing custom functionality built by the client.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and analysis for the NextGen application, including troubleshooting, configuration, and user support.
• Review, maintain, and modify existing custom code created within the NextGen environment.
• Write and optimize SQL queries and scripts to support reporting, data integrity, and troubleshooting needs.
• Collaborate with internal teams and client stakeholders to understand system issues and implement solutions.
• Participate in ongoing enhancement and maintenance efforts of the NextGen EHR system.
• Document code changes, system updates, and standard operating procedures as needed.
  
  

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a technical analyst or application support role, with direct experience supporting NextGen EHR.
• Proficient in SQL and understanding of relational databases.
• Strong experience with custom coding within or alongside NextGen (e.g., templates, rules, KBM customizations).
• Ability to troubleshoot, debug, and modify existing code as needed.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
