Humble Sign Co is seeking an Install Helper to support shop and field operations in the Greater Houston area. You will assist with loading, unloading, and organizing materials, and help install crews on jobs as needed.

The role emphasizes reliability, a strong work ethic, and willingness to work varied hours, including on-call support for installs. Experience in sign manufacturing or construction is a bonus.

Qualifications

• Must have strong work ethic and reliability.
• Capable of lifting 75+ lbs and performing physical labor.
• Comfortable working at heights and in varied environments.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot basic issues.
• Ability to use a tape measure accurately and read plans.

Responsibilities

• Keep shop organized and running smoothly.
• Assist with receiving and inspecting materials and equipment.
• Support fabrication, production, and installation teams as needed.
• Load and unload materials for installation crews.
• Step in as a helper on installation trucks when necessary.
• Assist with setting up and breaking down job sites and safety protocols.

A Day in the Life of an Install Helper (Next Man Up)

• Keep the shop clean, organized, and running efficiently
• Assist with receiving, inspecting, and storing materials and equipment
• Support fabrication and production teams as needed
• Load and unload materials for installation crews
• Step in as a helper on installation trucks when needed
• Assist with setting up and breaking down job sites
• Follow all safety protocols on job sites and in the shop
• Operate tools and equipment safely and efficiently
• Help maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicles
• Be ready to jump in wherever support is needed most

A Few Qualifications This Person Must Have

• Strong work ethic and reliability
• Ability to lift 75+ lbs and perform physical labor
• Comfortable working at heights
• Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Ability to use a tape measure accurately
• Flexibility to work varied hours, including on-call support for installs
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Strong attention to detail and ability to stay organized
