Job summary

GE Aerospace is seeking a Lead Manufacturing Readiness Engineer to drive manufacturing readiness, process maturation, and launch execution for Next Gen products. You will translate readiness strategies into actionable plans, close gaps, and partner with engineering, quality, supply chain, and operations to ensure a successful production launch.

The role emphasizes MRL execution, readiness reviews, and the development of dashboards and visual management tools.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field.
  • Minimum 3 years in manufacturing engineering, process development, NPI, industrialization, or production readiness.
  • Experience with MRL, APQP, PFMEA, control plans, launch tollgates, or similar readiness frameworks.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with engineering, operations, quality, and supply chain teams.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to convert data into clear priorities.
  • Experience supporting implementation of new manufacturing technologies in production environments.

Responsibilities

  • Execute manufacturing readiness plans for assigned programs, including action tracking and readiness assessments.
  • Support MRL activities by identifying gaps and driving closure actions.
  • Translate product requirements into manufacturing development and readiness action plans.
  • Partner with design engineering to identify producibility concerns and mitigate risk.
  • Develop and mature manufacturing processes, tooling concepts, fixtures, and implementation plans.
  • Coordinate follow-up from readiness reviews and tollgates with owners and due dates.
  • Build dashboards and visual tools to monitor launch risk, MRL maturity, and SQDC metrics.
  • Support APQP, PFMEA, control plans, and structured problem-solving to reduce risk.
