Job summary

GE Aerospace is seeking a Lead Manufacturing Readiness Engineer in the Cincinnati, OH area to drive readiness from development to production launch. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Materials, Chemical, Aerospace, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years in manufacturing engineering, process development, NPI, or production readiness.
• Experience with MRL, APQP, PFMEA, control plans, launch tollgates, or similar readiness frameworks.
• Experience collaborating with engineering, operations, quality, and supply chain.

Responsibilities

• Execute manufacturing readiness plans for assigned programs, including action tracking and readiness assessments.
• Identify gaps in MRL activities and drive closure actions.
• Translate product/tech requirements into manufacturing development and production readiness action plans.
• Partner with design engineering to address producibility concerns early and mitigate risk.
• Develop and mature manufacturing processes, tooling concepts, fixtures, and implementation planning.
• Document actions, owners, due dates, and closure evidence from readiness reviews and tollgates.
• Build dashboards and visual tools to monitor launch risk, MRL maturity, and SQDC metrics.
• Support APQP, PFMEA, control plans, and structured problem-solving to improve execution stability.
