Job summary

Mariner Finance in the United States is seeking a branch-oriented specialist to provide quality service to customers seeking loans and to meet branch goals through responsible lending and sales of company products.

The role requires willingness to relocate to surrounding branches as needed, reliable transportation, and strong communication and problem-solving skills. Training will cover lending, collections, and policy compliance while maintaining excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or four years related experience in Consumer Lending/Financial Services; military rank may substitute for degree.
• Willingness to relocate and travel to surrounding branches as needed; reliable transportation.
• Effective communication (written & oral) and PC skills.
• Ability to complete duties in a timely, accurate manner.
• Demonstrated problem-solving and interpersonal skills in demanding situations.
• Must obtain licenses to sell insurance products offered by the branch.
• Work at assigned branch location unless emergency as determined with regulatory guidance.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality service to existing and prospective customers seeking loans.
• Achieve consistent results and meet branch goals related to the sale of company products and services.
• Exercise lending authority when reviewing and approving applications and offer loan solutions meeting customer needs.
• Learn lending and collection functions during Branch Manager Training Program.
• Assist management with daily tasks and prioritization to ensure quality customer service.
• Manage exceptions to policy in coordination with management; resolve product/service/policy obstacles.
• Proactively retain and upsell to existing accounts via inside calls.
• Support Branch Manager in handling multiple priorities and preparing reports.
• In Manager’s absence, lead the branch team and coordinate daily operations.
• Perform relief assignments in other markets as needed.
