WTVD-TV is offering a Spring 2027 News/Broadcast Technical Operations Internship in the Raleigh-Durham area. This part-time, six-month program runs January to June 2027, giving hands-on exposure to news, digital platforms, and engineering workflows.

Responsibilities include assisting with content gathering, media management, and collaboration across newsroom and engineering teams. Eligible students must be 18+, enrolled in college, and available 18 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in college/university pursuing a degree, taking at least one class.
• Must be at least 18 years old with unrestricted work authorization.
• Ability to work 18 hours per week with a Mon-Sun schedule.
• Willingness to provide housing and transportation in the Raleigh/Durham area.

Responsibilities

• Assist with content gathering, video research, media retrieval, and asset preparation for daily news coverage.
• Utilize newsroom, production, and content management systems to support workflows.
• Support organization and distribution of media assets for on-air and digital use.
• Collaborate with newsroom, digital, production, and engineering teams during coverage and events.
• Assist in engineering and newsroom technology initiatives and equipment maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and document critical systems that support multiple departments.
