Job summary

Versant Media, LLC invites applications for a full-time Newsletter Strategy & Operations Specialist at CNBC. You will own end-to-end newsletter operations, manage ESPs, production workflows, and sponsorships, and drive subscriber growth and engagement.

Collaborate with editorial, audience development, product, marketing, and analytics teams to optimize performance, efficiency, and monetization in a hybrid Englewood Cliffs, NJ office.

Qualifications

• Experience in newsletter operations, audience development, digital publishing, product operations, or a related field.
• Deep expertise administering ESPs such as SailThru, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Beehiiv, or similar platforms.
• Proven experience owning newsletter operations in a digital media organization with sponsorships and monetization.
• Experience managing the full newsletter lifecycle — launches, onboarding, engagement, retention, and portfolio optimization.
• Strong analytical mindset with KPI definition, dashboards, testing, and translation of insights into improvements.
• Exceptional project management and ability to lead complex cross-functional initiatives.
• Demonstrated product mindset to improve newsletter functionality and subscriber experience.
• Passion for digital journalism and audience engagement.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day operations of CNBC's newsletter portfolio, ensuring timely delivery.
• Serve as primary administrator for CNBC's ESP, managing configuration and workflows.
• Build and maintain newsletter templates and advertising modules.
• Develop production docs, QA checklists, and scalable workflows.
• Partner with sales to execute sponsorships and optimize inventory.
• Ensure ad units meet editorial and production standards.
• Define KPIs and monitor engagement and monetization metrics.
• Lead subscriber lifecycle from acquisition to retention.
• Develop testing strategies for subject lines and send times.
