Job summary

WPGA is seeking a Multimedia Journalist to tell impactful stories from the Macon area. You’ll report to WANF leadership, develop enterprise and day-of stories, and produce field content by shooting and editing video, scripting, and delivering reports for newscasts.

You will collaborate with the WANF newsroom for daily coverage plans. The role requires flexible hours, a valid driver's license, and a commitment to accuracy and fairness in reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Broadcasting, Communications or equivalent.
• 1+ years of on-air reporting/MMJ experience (or strong internship/college-level equivalent with a professional reel).
• Ability to shoot & edit video under a deadline.
• Strong writing, interviewing, and editorial judgment with a commitment to accuracy and fairness.
• Working knowledge of digital publishing & social platforms.
• Valid driver's license & ability to drive to stories throughout the WPGA viewing area.
