Job summary

Western Mass News is seeking a News Producer to craft compelling newscasts and execute them from the control room daily. You will shape the on-air look of the newscast and collaborate with Anchors, Reporters, and crew to attract the largest audience.

The role requires coordinating with the Executive Producer, field crews, and assignment desk, plus scriptwriting and story research. Strong teamwork in a fast-paced environment is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Broadcast Journalism, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent training and/or experience.
• Knowledge of TV news production tools is a plus (i.e., ENPS, Edius)
• Ability to work a flexible schedule and work as a member of a team
• Must be results-oriented
• Ability to work in a creative, fast-paced environment
• Ability to make quick decisions without losing composure

Responsibilities
