TEGNA's KENS-TV San Antonio is seeking an innovative Producer to shape daily newscasts. You will craft stories for broadcast and digital platforms, pitch ideas, and maintain deadlines while leveraging data analytics to guide content. A strong journalism background and ENPS/Edius familiarity are preferred.

The role emphasizes engaging storytelling, community focus, and collaboration across teams to deliver compelling local news experiences across streaming and broadcast channels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in journalism, communications or related field or equivalent years of experience.
• 3-5 years of news content experience.
• Top-notch communication skills are an absolute must.
• Strong journalistic judgement and a news philosophy emphasizing local content and community engagement.
• Understanding of the tenets of professional journalism.
• Skills in producing engaging, content-driven newscasts and digital content.
• Strong social media presence on preferred platforms.
• Organizational skills and ability to work under deadline pressure.
• Ability to calmly handle live, breaking news situations.
• ENPS and Edius system experience preferred.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in journalism, communications or related field or equivalent years of experience.

• Organizational skills and the ability to work under time pressure deadlines.
• Ability to calmly handle live, breaking news situations and changing events.
• ENPS and Edius system experience preferred.
