Job summary

KWES TV, a TEGNA-owned station in Midland-Odessa, Texas, seeks a creative, tech-minded Producer to shape daily newscasts across streaming and broadcast platforms. You will build and execute shows, write, edit, and direct content with a collaborative newsroom team.

The ideal candidate will have 1–3 years in news content and show production, strong organizational and communication skills, and familiarity with production tools like vMix or Edius.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, or a related field preferred.
• 1-3 years of news content experience, ideally with show production experience.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple aspects under tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills for newsroom coordination and live plan adaptation.
• Ability to stay calm and adaptable during breaking news and high-stakes events.
• Proficiency with news production tools; willingness to learn new systems for production coding and show direction.
• Knowledge of vMix, Edius, or similar platforms is beneficial but not required.

Responsibilities
