Overview of the Company

Fox TV Stations owns and operates 29 full power broadcast television stations across the U.S., including in 14 of the top 15 largest DMAs, with duopolies in 11 DMAs, including New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago. Eighteen stations are affiliated with the FOX Network, producing approximately 1,200 hours of local news weekly, leveraging viewer, distributor, and advertiser demand for the network's content.

Job Description

FOX 35 seeks a News Photographer & Editor in Orlando, a vibrant local news market. The role involves working nights, overnights, weekends, and holidays, with occasional on-call duties for breaking news and severe weather, as well as covering major events like rocket launches, NASCAR races, and theme park festivities. Key responsibilities include:

1. Capturing news stories on digital media, editing images into compelling stories that convey the news effectively within broadcast time limits.
2. Driving to news events and operating ENG vehicles and equipment safely and efficiently, following all safety and DOT regulations.
3. Utilizing bonded cellular technology like LiveU for live streaming, and managing all newsgathering and editing equipment.
4. Recording news events on digital media, submitting content to digital platforms, and maintaining equipment.
5. Applying basic lighting and sound techniques, and staying updated on new technologies and procedures in remote news production.
6. Collaborating with newsroom staff to develop content, maintaining equipment, and ensuring safety and compliance.
7. Managing digital files, adhering to company policies, and participating in professional development.
8. Performing additional duties as assigned, including working varied hours and during severe weather.

Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum 2 years' experience as a photographer/editor in a TV news environment.
• Willingness to travel for assignments.
• Knowledge of Bonded Cellular tech like LiveU, with experience in live streaming.
• Proficiency with Adobe Premiere, BitCentral, and related equipment.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
• College degree or equivalent broadcast experience.
• Physical ability to lift equipment up to 40 pounds, operate equipment in various terrains, and perform related physical tasks.

Additional Information
