Sinclair Broadcast Group's KRCG seeks an experienced News Director to lead a top local newsroom with a bold, accountability-focused style. You will guide content across platforms, set budgets, and direct staff of 50+ weekly hours of local news.

You will recruit, hire and negotiate contracts for news personnel, review daily newscasts for quality and brand compliance, and work with sales to identify sponsorship opportunities while shaping newsroom philosophy and direction.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of experience in news management with leadership.
• Strong knowledge of journalistic ethics and privacy laws.
• Experience managing budgets and contracts for a news department.
• Proven ability to build and lead a winning news operation.

Responsabilités

• Oversee the station’s news operations, budgets and staff producing 50+ hours weekly.
• Initiate and manage growing content delivery on multiple platforms.
• Collaborate with local and corporate management on news philosophy and direction.
• Review daily newscasts for quality, brand compliance, and provide feedback.
• Recruit, hire and negotiate contracts for news personnel.
• Partner with other managers to develop marketing plans and reach ratings goals.
