Qualifications

• Journalism degree and five+ years in news management with leadership experience.
• Strong understanding of ethics, libel and privacy laws.
• Experience managing budgets and multi-station operations.

Responsibilities

• Manage the station’s news operations, budgets, goals, and staff producing 50+ hours weekly.
• Grow content delivery across multiple platforms.
• Collaborate with local and corporate leadership on content strategy.
• Review daily newscasts for quality, brand compliance, and provide feedback.
• Recruit, hire and negotiate contracts for news department personnel.
• Develop marketing plans with other managers to reach ratings goals.
