Qualifications

• Minimum - Be eligible to obtain a Florida Laboratory License minimum of Public Health Technician Clinical Chemistry
• Preferred - Bachelor’s degree in chemical or biological sciences

Responsibilities

• Prepare tests on newborn screening specimens to detect metabolic disorders.
• Check and approve test results transmitted to mainframe with correct data.
• Maintain quality control data and participate in proficiency testing.
• Perform daily instrument maintenance and troubleshooting as needed.
• Delineate blood spots for punching and handle other related duties.
