Job summary

Pediatrix Medical Group, Inc. is seeking a Newborn Hearing Screen Technician to perform hospital-based hearing screens for newborns, provide parent education, and ensure timely documentation.

The role requires on-site work at Prisma Greenville and other hospital locations, on-the-job training, CPR, weekend availability, and ability to lift up to 50 pounds; benefits include medical, dental, vision, life, and a 401k.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Current CPR certification or must obtain upon offer.
• Flexibility to work on weekends and national holidays required.

Responsibilities

• Perform newborn hearing screens and provide education to parents on the relevance of screening and early intervention.
• Collect patient data/demographics and ensure documentation is complete for each screen.
• Upload all screen results/billing/state reporting by end of each shift and reconcile statistics when required.
• Notify Site Supervisor of all missed and final refer babies; schedule outpatient appointments for refer babies as appropriate.
• Ensure screens are performed efficiently without compromising quality or patient education/satisfaction.
