Job summary

Land Trust Alliance’s New York Program seeks a Program Director to lead the New York land conservation community and set strategic direction for high-impact programs. The role supervises program staff and works with the NY Advisory Council, DEC, and state partners to advance policy priorities and funding opportunities.

The Director represents the Alliance in government relations, builds strong stakeholder relationships, and guides training, conferences and essential partnerships across New York

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required, graduate degree preferred.
• Experience in nonprofit leadership, government, philanthropy or related organizations.
• Strong strategic planning and program management skills.
• Proven ability to fundraise from foundations, corporations and individuals.

Responsibilities

• Work with NY Advisory Council and partners to set strategic direction for NY program.
• Provide executive oversight of CPP and FCELT and manage contracts with DEC.
• Lead fundraising and donor engagement for the NY program and conference sponsorships.
• Represent the Alliance with NY state government and agencies, and coordinate communications.
