Job summary

The Texas A&M University System is hiring an Assistant Manager for New Ventures to aid in developing and growing startup companies. Candidates will work with a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders to commercialize intellectual properties owned by the System.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree with two years of relevant experience, strong multitasking abilities, and knowledge of word processing and spreadsheets. Competitive salary and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Two years of relevant experience.
• Occasional travel outside of normal office hours.

Responsibilities

• Support the proactive identification of emerging technologies for commercialization.
• Collaborate with Licensing team to advance promising technologies.
• Facilitate preparation of formal business plans and due diligence documents.
• Assist with equity-related documents concerning startup companies.
• Engage with assigned companies for resource access and support.
• Participate in groups promoting economic development and innovation.

Skills

Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications

Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others

Education

Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
