Job summary

WBM Inc in Richmond, VA is seeking a Lot Attendant to ensure the accurate receipt of new vehicles and organize the new-vehicle lot. Responsibilities include verifying serial numbers, inspecting for damage and accessories, recording damages, parking and stock controlling cars, and handling registrations with the RMV.

The role also involves customer assistance, vehicle retrieval for customers, winter maintenance, transport, and miscellaneous tasks to support dealership operations.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
• Good judgment and the ability to handle tasks responsibly.

Responsibilities

• Verify serial numbers of incoming vehicles against invoices.
• Inspect vehicles for damage and verify presence of accessories listed on the invoice.
• Document any damages and list missing items on the delivery receipt.
• Park new vehicles in assigned areas.
• Assign stock control numbers to cars, catalog, and store keys.
• Bring forms to the RMV for registering sold cars.
• Assist technicians or valet as needed per the Sales Manager.
• Help customers locate their cars when they come to pick them up and bring cars to the door whenever possible.
• Keep doorways shoveled, sanded, and cleared during winter months, and clear snow and ice from cars in the lot.
• Transport customers as requested by Sales & Service Managers.
• Pick up and deliver parts, personnel, and paperwork as required by other dealership departments.
• Perform tasks as directed by the Sales or Service Manager.
