About Roberts Wesleyan University

Roberts Wesleyan University is a comprehensive, Christ‑centered institution affiliated with the Free Methodist Church. Established in 1866 by Free Methodist founder Benjamin Titus Roberts, the university is consistently recognized for academic quality and value, integrating faith and learning across undergraduate and graduate disciplines.

Serving over 1,700 undergraduate and graduate students, Roberts offers over 60 undergraduate programs and 5 bachelor's completion programs, alongside a portfolio of 22 master's and doctoral programs—including our first doctoral program launched in 2016. The university also provides 26 online programs with hybrid options, supported by a personalized 10:1 student‑to‑faculty ratio, robust experiential learning, and the region's only NCAA Division II athletics program.

Grounded in a rich 150‑plus‑year legacy, Roberts integrates a Christian worldview into rigorous academics, equipping graduates to lead with competence and character across non‑profit, corporate, and civic sectors. Affirms our belief that all people are created in the image of God (imago Dei), Roberts values individual dignity and is committed to providing a supportive environment that promotes mutual respect and equal opportunity.
