Job summary

DIFF Eyewear is opening a new store on King Street in Charleston, SC. The Assistant Store Manager will lead the team on day one, drive sales, and ensure a premier customer experience from launch onward.

Responsibilities include opening/closing, inventory and merchandising, and community engagement, with a strong emphasis on coaching staff and delivering DIFF brand excellence during the launch period.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory experience in a customer‑facing retail environment.
• Strong passion for developing and coaching a sales team.
• Excellent organizational skills with ability to multitask and prioritize.
• Hands‑on experience with POS and retail systems.
• Commitment to elevating customer experience standards.
• Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Optician Technician Certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead store opening activities, including setup, training, and onboarding.
• Manage daily operations, cash handling, and inventory processes.
• Execute visual merchandising per HQ directions and seasonal updates.
• Drive sales on the floor and coach staff on KPIs, promotions, and product launches.
• Deliver premium, personalized customer service and product education.
• Provide coaching and performance feedback to staff; assist with scheduling.
• Support local marketing and community events to build brand awareness.
