Job summary

Corning Inc. is seeking an engineering leader at the Diesel plant to drive new products and processes, partnering across Commercial, Technology, and Manufacturing to ensure successful transfer to manufacturing.

You will apply MEE, MIE, DMAIC, PQA, and LEAN tools to optimize performance and profitability while guiding a team of engineers and technicians in a safe, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Ceramic, Materials, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering.
• Proven ability to lead process engineering and new product development.

Responsibilities

• Provide strong process engineering leadership for new product, process, and technology development using rigorous methodologies and tools.
• Coordinate and manage manufacturing resources to support new products and processes with quality, performance, and cost controls.
• Define and deliver Operational Readiness for new products and processes to ensure plant systems are established before production start-up.
• Apply experimental design, scientific methods, and data analysis to optimize processes and reduce variability.
• Communicate work, solutions, and direction effectively to leadership.
• Supervise engineers and technicians with clear objectives and direct reporting.
• Travel minimal (<5%).
• Work schedule: 40+ hours Mon-Fri, with off-hours support as needed.
