Job summary

NE-XT Technologies in Windsor, CT is seeking an NPI Quality Engineer to support the New Product Introductions team. You will develop CMM programs, interpret drawings, and define inspection strategies for machined components.

Applicants should have 3+ years in CMM programming, strong GD&T and blueprint reading, and familiarity with ISO 9001 and AS9100. Collaboration with engineers and machinists is essential in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in CMM programming.
• Strong knowledge of GD&T, blueprint reading and inspection methodologies.
• Familiar with ISO 9001 and AS9100.
• Proven experience in quality inspection/assurance in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Develop and edit CMM programs using PCDIMS and MCOSMOS for machined components.
• Interpret drawings, CAD models and specs to define inspection strategies.
• Select fixturing and setups to ensure repeatable measurements.
• Interpret drawings and standards per customer requirements.
• Review and verify inspection and testing of products for compliance.
• Perform MSA and gage R&R to validate measurements.
• Create and maintain control plans, inspection plans and PPAP per customer requirements.
• Ensure project and process control documentation meet requirements.
• Collaborate with engineers, machinists and quality staff.
• Maintain clean, safe work area following safety guidelines.

NPI Quality Engineer Are you a skilled Quality Engineer looking to take your career to the next level? Join our dynamic growing team in Windsor, CT. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting our New Product Introductions team.

Responsibilities

• Develop and edit CMM programs using PCDIMS and MCOSMOS for machined components.
• Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, specifications and technical documentation to define inspection strategies.
• Identify and utilize appropriate fixturing, tooling, and setups to ensure repeatable and accurate measurements.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings/specifications/standards in accordance with customer requirements.
• Review and verify inspection and testing of products for compliance with drawings and specifications.
• Perform measurement system analysis (MSA) and gage R&R to validate measurements.
• Create and maintain quality assurance documentation including control plans, inspection plans, FAI, PPAP per customer requirements.
• Ensure that projects and process control documentation are compliant with requirements, objectives and/or contracts.
• Work closely with crossfunctional teams, including engineers, machinists, and quality control personnel.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with company safety guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements and skills

• Previous work experience as a Quality Engineer or similar role. A degree in Engineering or a related field is preferred.
• 3+ experience in CMM programming required.
• Strong knowledge of GD&T, blueprint reading, and inspection methodologies.
• Working knowledge and familiarity with ISO 9001 and AS9100.
• Proven experience in quality inspection and assurance in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with statistical analysis tools (e.g., Minitab, SPC) for measurement data interpretation.
• Ability to perform well in a highpressure, fastpaced environment
• Team player with a positive attitude and a passion for excellence.
• Ability to work, drive initiatives and achieve objectives with minimal supervision.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
