Job summary

JCB is seeking a New Product Introduction Analyst to support the launch of new products in the factory. You will document processes, report project statuses, and perform tactical tasks to ensure successful product deployment.

You will collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, QA, and Purchasing to ensure capabilities and readiness before production cut-ins, while supporting continuous improvement initiatives and SAP workflow activities on site in Pooler, GA.

Qualifications

  • Associate Degree in Engineering, Business, or related field.
  • Strong written and verbal skills with ability to communicate effectively across different levels in the organization.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (SharePoint, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project) and able to quickly learn other software programs.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes, analytical and data driven.
  • Self-motivated, highly engaged, flexible, and receptive to change.
  • Must be open to domestic and international travel.
  • Must pass any pre-employment tests, background checks.

Responsibilities

  • Report and provide visibility of NPI projects in the factory.
  • Contribute to factory NPI continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Process Product Improvement documents from engineering for component changes.
  • Coordinate make/buy decisions for components (Bought-in or Made In house).
  • Issue Purchase Requisitions or Up-issue component documents.
  • Update SAP MRP profiles and set cut-in/OTP dates for obsolete materials.
  • Coordinate ISIR/PPAP with QA before cut-in.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering, Purchasing, NPI Controller, and others on phase-in/phase-out.
  • Monitor PI’s in process and record serial numbers for service.

Position Purpose

The New Product Introduction Analyst plays a crucial role in supporting the introduction of new products in the factory. This position involves documenting processes, reporting on project statuses, and performing various tactical tasks to ensure successful product deployment. The analyst will work closely with multiple departments to ensure engineering and process capabilities are met before new products are launched on the production floor.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities
  • Successful reporting and visibility of New Product Introduction (NPI) projects in the factory
  • Contribute to factory NPI continuous improvement initiatives
  • Processing of Product Improvement documents from engineering, for Component change
  • Coordinating / Determining whether parts are Bought-in or Made In house
  • Issuing of Purchase Requisitions or Up-issue component documents
  • Updating / Setting of SAP MRP Profiles
  • Agreeing and setting cut-in dates and phase out dates for Obsolete to Production (OTP) material
  • Liaising with Quality to ensure Initial Sample Inspection Reports (ISIR) / Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) has been completed prior to cut-in
  • Liaising with Manufacturing Engineering, Purchasing, NPI Controller, Sales code Administrators and material planners over a phase in and out of components
  • Monitoring PI’s in process, recording Serial numbers of PI’s cut-in for Service administration
  • Coordinating Fit and Functions to validate the engineering change is designed for manufacture and suitable for cut-in
  • Coordinating with Manufacturing Engineering to ensure SAP workflows are completed regarding any Capital investment, Work Routing, SOPS and Line Balance documents prior to cut-in
  • Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
  • Associate Degree in Engineering, Business, or related field
  • Strong written and verbal skills with ability to communicate effectively across different levels in the organization
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., SharePoint, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project) and able to quickly learn other software programs
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes, analytical and data driven.

  • Team-oriented, demonstrating ability to influence and collaborate with others
  • Previous manufacturing and/or industrial engineering experience
  • Must be open to domestic and international travel
  • Must pass any drug screens, background checks, and any pre-employment tests, which will be conducted in accordance with applicable law.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and knowledge of safety standards and regulations related to manufacturing equipment
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Competencies
  • Previous experience of working in an SAP environment would be preferable
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software
  • Technical competence is a plus
  • Desire and proven ability to learn and grow
Job Conditions
  • Both office environment and occasionally manufacturing/factory environment.
  • Subject to noise and temperature changes.
