Job summary

Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled New Product Development Project Manager to join their team. This role leads NPD projects from concept through launch, working with engineering, manufacturing, sales, marketing, and operations to keep programs moving and align stakeholders.

Based in Houston, the position starts onsite for a few weeks before moving to a hybrid schedule with three onsite days per week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of engineering design experience.
• 2+ years of project management experience on technical projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead new product development projects from concept through commercialization.
• Build and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
• Coordinate with engineering, manufacturing, sales, marketing, and operations teams.
• Facilitate design reviews, milestone meetings, and gate reviews.
• Track progress and communicate project status to leadership.
• Identify risks and develop practical mitigation strategies.
• Support testing, prototyping, validation, and launch activities.
• Help solve technical challenges using engineering knowledge.
• Ensure projects stay on time, within budget, and aligned to quality goals.

Position: New Product Development Project Manager

Compensation: $120,000 - $125,000 annually, depending on experience

Location: Houston, Texas

This is a strong opportunity for a project management professional with an engineering background to step into a high-impact role supporting new product development from concept through launch. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to keep projects moving, align stakeholders, and help bring innovative products to market. This position is a great fit for someone who enjoys balancing technical detail with execution and wants to make a visible impact on product development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

• Lead new product development projects from concept through commercialization
• Build and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource plans
• Coordinate with engineering, manufacturing, sales, marketing, and operations teams
• Facilitate design reviews, milestone meetings, and gate reviews
• Track progress and communicate project status to leadership

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field

• 2+ years of project management experience on technical projects
• Experience leading new product development projects
• Experience developing schedules and managing budgets
• Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams effectively
• Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management tools

Nice to Have Skills & Experience:

• Experience with instrumentation or embedded systems
• Background with battery-powered or firmware-driven products
• Experience leading hardware and software projects together
• PMP certification or equivalent training
• Experience in a manufacturing environment
• Exposure to mechanical and/or electrical product development
