Job summary

II Stanley Co., Inc. in Battle Creek, MI is seeking a New Product Assembly Process Engineer to develop, implement, and transfer new product assembly processes.

You will work closely with NPD to design layouts, select equipment, and ensure quality, cost, and delivery goals are met. The role requires hands-on process design, tooling procurement, and collaboration with suppliers and production teams to optimize cycle times and productivity.

Qualifications

• Electrical and Mechanical skills related to assembly processes.
• PLC programming knowledge.
• Robot programming experience with Fanuc or similar.
• 3D modeling using SolidWorks or Catia.
• MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and transfer new product assembly processes on time.
• Support quality, cost, and delivery goals.
• Assist in tooling/equipment design and procurement for processing components.
• Prepare documentation for new programs.
• Develop assembly lines to meet quality, cycle time, and cost targets.
• Participate in NPD activities and design reviews.
• Design and implement assembly processes including layout and cycle times.
• Source new machinery when needed and collaborate with suppliers.
• Maintain standardized documentation, process diagrams, FMEA, and related records.
• Communicate with customers, suppliers, and production staff to complete duties.
• Provide support to the NPD group and production engineering changes.
