Job summary

The Wasserstrom Company, a leading foodservice distributor with a long history, is seeking Packers and General Warehouse Workers for our Columbus Distribution Center. You will pack orders, build pallets, and load/unload trucks while using RF scanners and following safety procedures.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in packing or warehouse work, can lift up to 50 pounds, and possess basic math and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of recent packing experience or general warehouse work.
• Experience with a RF scanner.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Basic math and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

• Pack customer orders accurately and efficiently according to established process and requirements.
• Build, wrap and secure pallets for safe transportation.
• Load and unload trucks and trailers safely and efficiently.
• Operate stock chasers, pallet jacks, carts and other warehouse equipment.
• Maintain accurate inventory locations by following WMS scanning procedures.
• Use RF scanners and pick labels to verify products, quantities, and locations.
• Follow all warehouse safety policies and procedures.
• Help ensure customer orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.

Shift Start Times

• 4:00 a.m.
• 6:00 a.m.
• 11:00 a.m.

What You'll Do
