Telehealth Substance Use Disorder Counselor – Remote

Affect Therapeutics is revolutionizing addiction recovery through our evidence-based digital program for stimulant use. We combine mobile technology, behavioral support, and medical care to empower Members on their recovery journey.

We're seeking empathetic, passionate Telehealth Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Counselors to provide one-on-one and group therapy virtually, supporting recovery from stimulant, alcohol, and cannabis addiction.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct intake assessments to determine Member readiness.
  • Lead group and one-on-one therapy sessions using Affect's curriculum.
  • Provide crisis intervention and referrals.
  • Maintain thorough, concurrent documentation in our EMR system.
  • Collaborate with clinical supervisors on treatment and discharge plans.
  • Comply with HIPAA and all state-specific regulations.
Requirements:
  • Must hold a current and verifiable New Mexico counseling license, limited to LCSW, LPCC, LMFT, or LISW.
  • 2+ years of SUD counseling experience.
  • Comfortable with Google Suite, EMRs, and telehealth platforms.
  • Availability for 2 evening shifts.
  • Passionate about supporting sobriety and building positive relationships.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a startup environment.
  • Must have a private, HIPAA-compliant workspace.
  • Applicants must be licensed in their respective state, and all credentials must be verified through the State Board's website as part of the application process.
