Job summary

Baker Law Group in New Mexico is seeking an accomplished civil litigator to serve as Managing Partner for the Albuquerque practice. This role demands hands-on leadership to build an office, develop a team, and shape the firm's long-term presence in New Mexico.

You will supervise attorneys, maintain an active civil litigation caseload, and work with firm leadership to execute an ambitious expansion plan, leveraging the firm's marketing and intake resources to drive growth.

Qualifications

• Active membership in good standing with the State Bar of New Mexico.
• 8+ years of legal experience practicing in New Mexico.
• Strong command of New Mexico courts, rules, procedures, and local practice.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, supervise, mentor, or develop other attorneys and legal professionals.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with growth focus.

Responsibilities

• Build the New Mexico office and Albuquerque hub, establishing operational presence.
• Lead and develop attorneys; mentor, manage expectations, ensure client care.
• Shape the team through hiring, onboarding, staffing, and workflow development.
• Set clear expectations for case strategy, deadlines, quality, and ownership across the practice.
• Guide expansion by identifying opportunities, resources, and priorities for NM growth.
• Collaborate across the firm with leadership, operations, and marketing to align growth with execution.
• Represent Baker Law Group and build credibility in the NM legal and business communities.
