Job summary

Baker Law Group seeks an accomplished civil litigator to become Managing Partner for its Albuquerque, New Mexico, practice. This role combines leadership, growth strategy, and high-level litigation to build a durable NM operation.

You will supervise attorneys, maintain an active NM civil caseload, and work with firm leadership to grow the office while delivering exceptional client service.

Qualifications

• Active NM State Bar membership in good standing.
• 8+ years of legal experience practicing in New Mexico, with substantial civil litigation experience.
• Strong command of New Mexico courts, rules, procedures, and local practice.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, supervise, mentor, or develop attorneys and professionals.
• Experience independently managing complex matters with strategic decision-making.
• Excellent legal writing, research, negotiation, and courtroom skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an active civil litigation caseload focused in New Mexico.
• Supervise attorneys and mentor junior lawyers to ensure high-quality work and client service.
• Lead office-building and team development efforts in Albuquerque and New Mexico.
• Collaborate with firm leadership on strategy, hiring, onboarding, and growth initiatives.
• Establish and enforce standards for case strategy, deadlines, and client communication.
